Community Psychiatric Nurse

As a Community Psychiatric Nurse, you will be supporting patients outside of the hospital environment, providing individualised care and practical advice.
You will be working as part of a hard-working team helping to make a positive difference in peopleslives, helping them overcome any problems that they may have.
Key Responsibilities include, but aren't limited too:
- Supporting a range of patients with mental health conditions, whilst carrying out recovery and support activities
- Educating the local community on mental health issues
- Demonstrating an enhanced understanding of Mental Health signs and symptoms, as well as being able to support and teach junior staff to develop their own understanding of mental health signs and symptoms
- Recognising and responding appropriately to challenging behaviour in line with Trust policies and training
- Demonstrating in depth knowledge and understanding of the fundamentals of the Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act and Deprivation of Liberty
- Contributing to an effective communication process with appropriate and accurate information to patients, carers, family, and friends
- Working in partnership with other professionals when necessary
Requirements:
- Degree relevant
- 2+ years working as a CPN/RMN in the UK
- Enhanced DBS. Dated within the last 12 months
- Willingness to complete an enhanced DBS if you do not currently hold one.
- An active NMC registration
- A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
