Primary Responsibilities
- Ensure safe working practices are adhered to.
- Production of high quality, to spec steel in a safe and efficient manner, following LGSF standard operating procedures
- Adhere to LGSF quality standards, reporting any Non Conformance in a timely manner
- Accurately measure Mill / Personal output performance
- Meet or exceed Mill / Personal output targets.
- Report accurately all nonproductive periods within the Rolling Mill area / operation.
- Perform daily planned preventative maintenance checks on all Mill / Tooling / MHE equipment and report any defects or issues to supervisor / engineering team.
- Participate in Process Reviews (Risk assessments, 8D's, 5 Y's, Kaisen Reviews) and any other necessary exercises in order to support and improve Health & Safety, Product Quality, Productivity, Customer Retention and Staff Morale.
- Support operational requirements by working in any other part or location within the LGSF manufacturing process.
- Ensure that all documentation / record keeping is completed promptly, accurately and archived correctly to ensure accurate records are immediately available to LGSF management team and our customers
Competencies:
- Conversant with the safe use of various construction / manufacturing machinery, equipment & hand held tools.
- Ability to multi task
Critical skills:
- Awareness of H&S best practice in the workplace
- High Levels of attention to detail
- Ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team
- 12 week Probation period payable at £11.23 (Equiv: £21,898)
- Semi Skilled £11.98ph (Equiv: £23,361)
- Fully Skilled £12.98ph (Equiv: £25,311)

£4,000 PA Shift Premium (Paid Weekly)
