The National Trust looks after places that contain the work of some of the world's most recognised and celebrated artists, architects, designers and master craftsmen and were homes to some of the most revered individuals in British history such as WinstonChurchill, Bess of Hardwick, and Beatrix Potter.


Working as a key member of the programme team, you will support the Senior Programme Manager and Programme Board to ensure the smooth-running of the programme, its support systems and processes.

This is a two-year fixed term contract or internal secondment, and we will consider flexible working patterns.

The role will involve travel to our head office andproperties to meet with stakeholders and carry out work.

What you'll be doing You'll be the glue that holds the programme team together. You'll provide a high-quality, professional programme support service to the Senior Programme Manager and Programme Board.


You'll be organising and administering the Programme Board and wider team meetings and minutes, coordinating the monthly news bulletin, updating intranet pages and developing case studies.


You'll manage knowledge and information for the programme, supporting the collation of reports for the programme board and helping to ensure that project teams are adhering to project management best practice.

For this position we're looking for someone who has:

  • Experience of meeting and diary management-Stakeholder management
  • providing a consistent point of contact for the programme, internally and externally. -Communications
  • supporting the delivery of the communications plan -Information management
  • ensuringthat all files and folders up to date-Project support and administration
  • providing full administrative support for projects within the programme
