What you'll be doing:

Required to be flexible according to business requirements.

The daily focus may vary, however it is expected that activities will typically include the following:

  • 1. Produce within the Component standards food required for the day's menu.
  • 2. Controls the work of the kitchen work party ensuring that all foods are handled from delivery to service correctly.
  • 3. Ensures that the various codes of practice regarding hygiene are fully implemented throughout the department.
  • 4. Maintains, controls and updates all appropriate records on the receipt, storage and issue of food items and, maintains secure systems for those.
  • 5. Organises and provides hospitality, catering and other functional services required throughout the prison.
  • 6. Ensures that all requests for the maintenance of plant and equipment are processed efficiently.
  • 7. Effectively controls and maintains accurate accounts of takings and maintains till and safe floats
Adheres to supplementary Terms & Conditions of employment for the judicial sector

Experience:

  • Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential as full on the job training will be provided
  • Must be 18+
  • A DBS check is required
