Job description:


Based in Gloucester, Safran UK operates the UK Shared Service Centre, providing key services to all Safran's UK businesses - including transactional finance, indirect procurement, HR, tax and international mobility management.


We are seeking an enthusiastic Mobility Specialist to join a small UK based International Mobility Team within the UK shared service centre at Safran.

What will I be doing?


Your focus will be managing UK outbound/inbound assignments and frontier workers across the entire mobility function of HR, tax, social security and immigration.


Ideally, you would hold or have held a similar role within a large multinational corporation or hold an "in-house" role with proven experience in Global Mobility across these areas or hold a specialism in immigration.


MAIN OBJECTIVES OF THE ROLE
International Mobility
Supports HR teams and local Business Units with all related compliance functions and associated employer risks
Manages employee experience during relocations
Manages expatriate administration and payroll coordination
Oversees delivery of assignment compensation package
Manages external vendors
Primary point of contract for expatriates/impatriates

Business support
Liaise with wider International Mobility network in other countries within Safran
Support and/or produce cost projections where required to support decisions
Demonstrate due diligence from employee and employer perspective to ensure that the assignment complies with local and international regulations as well as the internal policy and processes
Keep up to date with technical changes and present updates to the business units to support compliance
Provide support to HR and Finance colleagues and communicate resolution of issues
Create, update and maintain process documentation

MAIN ACTIVITIES
Employee experience
Serve as the primary point of contact with respect to international relocations to and from the UK, international assignments, and expatriate matters
Carry out pre-assignment briefing and orientation and manage the full assignment lifecycle
Manage relocation vendors at the start/end of assignment to ensure positive employee experience
Review and recommend any improvements to global mobility approaches and benefits

Payroll and Tax
Supports annual tax filing process and responsible to maintain authorization list and documentation
Manage the payments related to the assignment including payroll instructions, expenses and invoices to ensure compliance
Provide support to business units relating UK Short-Term Business Visitor Reporting
Complete due diligence reviews of potential short-term assignments, including tax, social security and immigration implications
Provide support with wider domestic employment tax topics

Job requirements:

What do you need from me?

General experience of managing expatriates, formal mobility secondments and frontier workers
Experience of vendor management or client facing experience with proven relationship building skills
Strong communications skills, including the ability to effectively communicate changes or updates to various HR users (technical and non-technical) and senior leadership

Strong organisational skills due to requirement to manage multiple tasks and deadlines, with different stakeholders (HR & business functions) and the ability to prioritise is key.

Proven ability to work analytically in a problem-solving environment with attention to detail
An ability to maintain confidentiality and act with discretion and diplomacy is crucial.
French language - desirable but not essential
