About the Role:
nWe are seeking a motivated and passionate individual Graduate Systems and Network Engineer to join our Technology team.

This unique opportunity is a 12-month rotation programme, with the first 6 months in the systems engineering team and the subsequent 6 months in the network engineering team.

Upon successful completion of the rotation, you will be placed within one of the teams where you'll play an integral part.


First rotation:

Systems Engineering TeamnAssist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of on-premises and cloud-based servers, storage systems, and virtualisation technologies.nMonitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal uptime and reliability.nImplement system updates, patches, and security fixes under the guidance of senior team members.nAssist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of servers, storage systems, and virtualisation technologies.nProvide assistance to end-users, including troubleshooting systems related issues and assisting with configurations.nDevelop automation scripts and tools to streamline system deployment, configuration, and management.nImplement security best practices and compliance standards to protect systems and data from security threats and vulnerabilitiesnDocument support processes and contribute to the development of knowledge base articles.


Second rotation:
Network Engineering TeamnAssist in designing and planning network architectures, including LANs, WANs, WLANs, and data centre networksnAssist in implementing and configuring network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and wireless access pointsnMonitor network performance and availability using network monitoring tools and platformsnTroubleshoot network issues, diagnose problems, and implement solutions to resolve network outages, performance issues, and connectivity problemsnImplement network security best practices and compliance standards to protect network infrastructure and data from security threats and vulnerabilitiesnMaintain accurate documentation of network configurations, diagrams, procedures, and operational guidelinesnCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including systems engineers and software developers, to support project initiatives and resolve technical challenges

Requirements:

nMinimum of an upper Second-Class Bachelor's degree/Integrated Masters in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related field.nRelevant experience gained through academic or work placements activities.nStrong interest in technology and computingnProficiency in written, interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with diverse teams and stakeholders.nSolid organisational skills, ability to multi-task, and thriving in meeting deadlines within a dynamic, fast-paced environment.nSolid problem-solving skills and willingness to learn new technologies.nProficiency in scripting and automation tools such as PowerShell or Python.nCurious mindset and a willingness to challenge the status quo.nDisplays and operates at the highest degree of ethics and integrity.nThe successful candidate must be eligible to work in the UK by the start of their employment.
