A long established family run Chinese Restaurant situated in Caterham Surrey, we are looking for waiting staff to cover primarily
Friday and Saturday evenings, though may be required to work 2 or 3 evenings during the weekdays (working hours: minimum 6 hours per weekend).

Initial training probation period will be on weekday evenings until applicant is deemed ready for weekend work.‪

Please note:
Salary dependant on age and experience. All tips received, goes entirely to the waiting staff.

Applicants are expected to work over the holiday periods such as Chinese New Year and Valentine's day. This includes the busy months of November and December, lead up to Christmas and New year's day.

Job Role
To work as a waiter/waitress in the restaurant.

You must be able to work individually and as part of the team.

Duties include:

  • Greeting and seating customers
  • Answering telephone
  • Taking orders for food and drink
  • Prep work
  • Serving food and drink
  • Laying tables
  • Cleaning duties such as sanitising surfaces, making sure everywhere is tidy, sweeping/vacuuming floors, washing glasses, etc.
  • Making sure customers are happy with their meal and the service.

Skills Required:

  • Friendly and well mannered with good communication skills
  • Well spoken English (Cantonese is desired but not essential)
  • Must have a great understanding on the importance of hygiene and cleanliness in the workplace
  • Good basic arithmetic
  • Quick thinking and can use initiative
  • Can work systematically in a high pressured environment on busy periods
  • Willing to learn and able to take instructions
  • Reliable with good time management
  • Work flexibly

Job Type:
Part-time

Salary:
£6.00-£12.00 per hour
