Job Description
As Transport Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the transportation operations in Immingham. You'll play a pivotal role in managing logistics, optimising routes, and ensuring the timely delivery of goods. Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and motivating a team of drivers and logistics personnel.
- Planning and coordinating transportation activities to meet operational targets.
- Implementing transportation policies and procedures to ensure compliance.
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders to streamline operations and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Monitoring performance metrics and implementing improvement initiatives.
The Successful Applicant
- Proven experience as a Transport Manager, ideally within the logistics distribution and supply chain sector.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop teams.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of transportation regulations and industry best practices.
- Proficiency in transportation management systems and related software.
