Job purpose:


To assist with a variety of tasks which will assist the person who needs care and support to live their personal and social life according to their wishes and interests.


About the employer:


Our client is looking to recruit a Personal Assistant to provide support for 4 hours per week on a Saturday afternoon to enable their 13-year-old Daughter to access the local community and take part in fun activities to help develop her independence and confidence.


Main duties:

Social duties
- keep in touch and socialise with family and friends.
- access the local community.
- take part in fun activities.

  • Go to the local park.
These duties may vary from day-to-day.

Type of person that you/they are looking for:


  • Values: someone that is honest, reliable, punctual, non-judgemental, ability to build good relationships based on trust and respect, flexible, adaptable, easy going, able to work alone, positive, willingness to travel and understands equality & diversity.

Hours of work: 4 hours per week - Saturday afternoons

Rate of pay:
£10.42 per hour

Skills, qualifications, and experience

Essential:

- driving licence
- car and appropriate insurance
- previous care/support experience
- experience of working with children with learning disabilities
- confidentiality
- good at building relationships

Preferred:

- good communicator
- a good listener
- ability to support people with behaviours which challenge.

Successful applicants will require DBS checks & Employment References.

This role is funded by the Local Authority and is paid 4 weekly.
