WE Transport is actively recruiting school bus drivers in Nassau County on Long Island. While possessing a CDL is advantageous during our selection process, we offer FREE CDL training.

What We Bring to the Table:

FLEXIBILITY
- Split-shift schedules available for mornings and afternoons
- Guaranteed 25-30 hours per week
- Complimentary training to prepare for the CDL Permit
- $750 bonus upon completion of training and obtaining your CDL

Job Summary:


Operate a school bus to transport authorized passengers to and from school programs in a safe and timely manner following specific route(s).

Assess traffic and road conditions, monitor student behavior, and other relevant factors as needed.

Adhere to all state and federal traffic regulations while driving a vehicle. Follow DOT and state safety protocols and district requirements while operating a yellow school bus.


Maintain valid CDL and state school bus certifications, including compliance with state and federal guidelines concerning criminal, medical, drug tests, and driving records.

Assist passengers getting on and off the vehicle when necessary.

Conduct daily pre and post-trip vehicle inspections and safety checks as mandated by company standards and state guidelines.

Job Requirements

Drivers must be at least 21 years old with a minimum of 1 year of driving experience

NYS CDL Class A or B License with P & S endorsements for Bus

NYS CDL C License with P & S for vans

Valid driver's license to enrol in CDL permit training (we provide free training)

Able to pass drug test and background check
