We are reinforcing our team by offering a 12 Month Student Placement (£18,500 per year) at Blythe Valley Park, Solihull starting in September 2023.
We are seeking a high calibre Electronics Engineering student to spend a year with a team of experts in the design and development of Electric Power Steering (EPS) control and power electronics.
Your Tasks:
- Electronic Circuit Design: Creation of new electronic circuit designs, covering a wide range of digital and analogue technologies for safety critical automotive control systems
- Electronic Circuit Analysis: Tolerancing and Worst Case using various simulation and analysis tools (e.g. Mathcad and MATLAB/Simulink)
- Safety and
Reliability Analysis:
Performing FMEA, FTA, reliability analysis in support of ISO 26262 work packages and analysis
- Generation of Requirements and
Test Documents:
Generating documentation in support of ZF procedures and engineering design and development activities
- Technology assessment: Researching and justifying the introduction of new and improved technologies into next generation EPS designs (e.g. sensors, microcontrollers, power modules and MOSFETs)
Your Profile:
- Good understanding of electronic components with strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Willingness to push existing boundaries and learn/develop new skills
- Flexible, selfmotivated and able to work with limited direct supervision
- An interest and experience in Automotive electronics/systems design
