Manage the generic email system to ensure that all communications are actioned or sent on to the most appropriate person for example: Sign patients up for online access to records Compile summary reports for external agencies Pass requests for MED3s to GPs to complete Book appointments for patients as required Send patients information from their medical records Process repeat prescription requests where appropriate Manage the practices online consultation queries to ensure that they are signposted to the most appropriate team and organising appointments as required Manage patient registrations and deductions including managing the flow of paper records Support the scanning team to process hospital correspondence Write ad hoc letters to patients as required (such as out of area letters) To undertake specific assigned tasks, project support, or development / change work which may arise from time to time.
Replenishing printer cartridges and stationery and ensuring adequate levels are in stock Working flexibly within the admin team to support different roles as required The post-holder will need to become familiar with all functions of the clinical system and their applications, plus national and local quality standards for primary care.
