Development Finance Underwriter

Salary:

Altrincham, Manchester

2 days WFH, 3 days Office based

About the Role:

To support the company's objectives and targets by proactively underwriting cases to completion, ensuring alignment with lending and compliance criteria.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage the underwriting of development cases from enquiry to completion.
  • Seek guidance from senior team members and the credit manager to enhance knowledge.
  • Collaborate with legal and credit departments for case completion and client communication.
  • Focus on continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
  • Assist the team with workload and holiday coverage when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records and system information.
  • Ensure optimal performance in development loan completions.
  • Stay updated on legal and industry changes to support professional development.
  • Manage assigned broker relationships.
  • Review and approve valuation instructions and security documents.
  • Attend training sessions and liaise with external professionals for valuation reviews.
  • Uphold individual and departmental performance targets.
