Equans is looking for an HR Advisor to join our team supporting the Southern region of a national, multi-site contract on a Fixed Term Contract basis for a period of up to 12 months.**
This is a hybrid-working, full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.**Responsible for the provision of HR Advisor support for people matters to a national multisite contract of circa 1400 colleagues.


Supporting the HR Business Partner, this role will specifically cover the the Southern region and Support Functions circa 700 colleagues.

Supporting the regional management teams to deliver improvements in culture, change management, compliance and cost control to drive improved engagement and financial results.


_ This role will require on-site/office presence approximately 4 days per week, with travel across the Southern region._

What will you deliver?:

  • Member of Operating Unit HR Team which collectively enables delivery of OU people plans and business as usual objectives.
  • Advising line managers incorporating competencies / behaviours and liaising with the resourcing team to optimise recruitment opportunities.
  • Generating attendance management reports and highlighting areas of concern, agreeing plans to improve with line managers and supporting delivery.
  • Advice on early stage grievance / disciplinary action including attendance at hearings as appropriate only.
  • Monitoring of the annual One HR PDR cycle, acting as a superuser and ensuring completion in a timely manner. (frontline trackers to be completed by contracts and sent to HRA)
  • Supporting with the month end reporting process ensuring that data is collated, accurate and provided on time.
  • Supporting the launch of new policies & processes, conducting workshops / webex's where appropriate.
  • Providing general HR assistance and acting as the link between the HR operations team and Employee Services in the SSC.
  • Advise line managers on employee engagement initiatives to ensure best practice
  • Maintain a continuous professional development log (CPD)
  • Support TUPE In's and TUPE Out's and act as initial contact.
  • Supporting the annual salary reviews, acting as the champion
  • Compliance checking and review including clearances, adherence to governance and process controls and GDPR, to escalate any issues to the HRBP
  • Co ordinating the REMCO process as required
  • Supporting structural change and mobilisations

Who are we looking for?:

  • Part qualified CIPD
  • Experience in an HR Advisor role
  • Trackrecord in HR generalist and change management roles
  • Some knowledge of UK employment legislation and best practice
  • Proven ability to work on own initiative and within a team
  • Demonstrated practical approach to problem solving
  • Experience of gathering and presenting data
  • Practical approach to problem solving
