My client is recruiting for a logistics specialist to join their team.

Key Responsibilities for the Logistics Specialist Manage and liaise with courier and logistic companiesSchedule deliveries on behalf of Project Managers for UK and international projectsEnsuring the option/route confirmed is cost efficient and in line with commercial requirementsPrepare supporting documentation in association with deliveries to include sales invoices and shipping invoicesTracking shipments and updating relevant teams on progressCalculating Duty / VAT cost for each consignmentProcessing Import/Export declarationsDealing with general enquiries from importers / exporters concerning all areas, relating to Customs Procedures, Tariff Classifications, Duty Rates and any other documentation requirementsRaise orders and authorise orders up to limits of published authorityLog and monitor courier purchase logs for logisticsManage any insurance claims in line with delivery shortfall and damage to productsResolve delivery and collection discrepancies with both suppliers and internal teamsAdministration of in house documentation and processLiaison & coordination with internal & external stakeholders including project managers, stock returns team and finance department, etc.

Keeping up to date with changes in regulations, laws and customs procedures
Desirable skills for Logistics Specialist Excellent organisational skillsThe ability to deliver under pressure with minimum supervisionTo communicate effectively with people at all levelsProficient with Microsoft office, especially excelA positive and enthusiastic approach to delivering the roleExperience within a similar role with exposure to international duties, customs, taxes, etc.

Able to work well within a teamSelf-Management / Communication / Planning/OrganisingFamiliar with Microsoft CRM and/or SAPAbility to manage multiple tasks & progress priorities.

Excellent communications skills via email & telephone.
