Brief job description:


BPP have an exciting new opportunity for a Data & Analytics Apprenticeship with Edwards, a global leader of vacuum and abatement technology based in either our Burgess Hill or Clevedon sites.


Edwards Vacuum are looking for the next generation of Data & Analytics technicians to help build our data capability and support our transition to a more data driven organisation.

This fully funded apprenticeship lets you earn while you learn on the job whilst studying for a level 3 Data Technician Apprenticeship.


The Data & Analytics Apprentice role will be part of the divisional engineering team and will have responsibility for different Data & Analytics tasks and short-term project assignments.


Your duties and responsibilities in this role will consist of:

  • Sourcing, formatting, and presenting data using Microsoft Excel and Power BI
  • Analysing data to find trends.
  • Blend data from different sources.
  • Communicating data stories to different audiences.
  • Supporting the delivery of data projects.

Qualifications:

5 GCSEs grades A*-C/9-4 or equivalent (including English Language and Maths)

Skills Required:

  • A strong interest in data and analytics, eager to learn and develop your skills.

Desirable skills:

  • Experience collecting and collating data.
  • Experience with Power BI or other analytical tools.
  • Experience with SharePoint, Teams, and similar collaboration tools.

Successful completion of this apprenticeship gives you an accredited Level 3 Data Technician, with training in how to:

  • Identify the right data sources for your business to inform decision making.
  • Collect, compile and cleanse data accurately and securely.
  • Identify, analyse, and interpret data, trends, and patterns.
  • Produce dashboards and automate reports to aid visualization and comparison.
  • Summarise and present the results of data analysis, making recommendations for business improvement.
  • Improve knowledge of businesscritical tools such as Excel and Power BI.
  • Store and archive data in line with data protection legislation.
