About the role:

Are you a Nursery Nurse looking to transition into a Teaching Assistant role working at a local primary school? This might be the role for you

The role is set to commence ASAP, working full-time (Monday to Friday), term time only between 8:30am and 3:30pm. Currently, the role has no end date in mind. There are opportunities for the role to become permanent with the school after a qualifying period.

Your typical day-to-day duties as a Nursery Teaching Assistant will include:

  • Making sure that children are safe, happy and stimulated whilst in your care.
  • Communicating information to children using play.
  • Encouraging children's development and learning using resources.
  • Creating a safe and childfriendly environment.
  • Maintaining equipment used in the classroom.
  • Assisting children with the transition to Reception.
  • Finding ways to stimulate children, particularly those with special and sensory needs.
  • Helping teach children basic hygiene practices such as washing hands.
  • Providing comfort and reassurance if children are ill or upset.

Driving is not essential for this role, as the school is easily accessible via a bus route if public transport is required.


Requirements:

To be considered for the role of Nursery Teaching Assistant - Blackpool you will:

  • Preferably qualified to an NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification,
  • Have had experience working with children aged 3 5 years old.
  • Ensuring that children are safe, happy and stimulated whilst in your care.
  • Able to communicate information to children using play.
  • Encourage children's development and learning using resources.
  • Able to create a safe and childfriendly environment.
  • Able to find ways to stimulate children, particularly those with special and sensory needs.
  • Ensuring children are comforted and reassured if children are ill or upset.
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications.

The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:

  • Have had experience working with children aged 3 5 years old.
