SEN Specialist Teaching Assistant - Autism

About the Company: Career Teachers has teamed up with an SEND School in Leicester to find a dedicated SEN teaching assistant to work individually with their students. The school is well-equipped to cater to the diverse needs of its students and boasts a positive staff environment where everyone is appreciated.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote the inclusion and acceptance of all pupils
  • Understand Individual Education Plans & Behavior Support Plans and aid in their implementation, following the teacher's guidance
  • Support the class teacher in designing, monitoring, and conducting engaging lessons
  • Key skills and experience required:
  • Previous experience working with SEN students, preferably those with Autism
  • Prior involvement in support roles in educational settings or with children
