Main duties of the job
The primary responsibilities of the post are:
ensuring the smooth and efficient running of administrative/central booking office. processing of referrals, appointments discharges provide timely data for service managerWorking for our organisation
The MK Podiatry Service is very busy, having in the region of 1,300 patient appointments each month. It takes a dedicated, compassionate and organised admin team to support the appointment procedures - these are the characteristics of the established admin team.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
To support the efficient running of the admin office, prioritising urgent patient appointments To Support the organisation and delegation of office activities To communicate face to face, by telephone with patients, podiatry staff, other professionals and members of the public in a professional, courteous and friendly manner To undertake administrative duties within the office e.g. booking appointments, filing, uploading information, patient discharges, liaise with patients/staff regarding cancellations, rebooking appointments To ensue referrals received by the service are correctly processed To ensure amendments/changes to patient details are updated and as required passed to relevant departments, managers, staff etc.Employer certification / accreditation badges

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
