Picker/packer/warehouse Operative

Responsibilities:

  • Load and unload products onto/from trucks or containers
  • Perform heavy lifting of materials and products
  • Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment to move and stack items
  • Assist with shipping and receiving tasks, including verifying and documenting incoming and outgoing shipments
  • Follow established procedures for materials handling, storage, and organization
  • Conduct quality control checks to ensure products meet specifications
  • Use mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve any issues with packaging equipment
  • Perform picking and packing duties as required

Skills:

  • Experience in a warehouse or distribution environment preferred/but not essential.
  • Familiarity with operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment
  • Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes and procedures/ training will be given.
Strong materials handling skills, including proper storage and organization techniques

  • Attention to detail for quality control inspections
  • Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot packaging equipment issues
  • Efficient in picking and packing tasks

Note:

Salary:
£12.00-£13.00 per hour

Expected hours:
No less than 37.5 per week
