Overview


We have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Officer (9 month FTC) to join the Rockingham shared user, within the eFulfilment sector.

This is a varied but demanding role that drives the customer profitability insight, to enable effective commercial decisions, which help support the growth and profitability agenda for this business.

Hours are Monday to Friday 09:00 to 17:00.

The role is site based, but will consider hybrid working.

How will you contribute?

  • Collate, assess and validate financial data to enable insightful analysis of customer performance and profitability. Reviewing contractual terms to ensure the accurate invoicing of activity carried out is in line with terms, or that additional revenue has been invoiced.
  • Work with the Finance Manager on creating required reports, Management Information, etc. that facilitate the above, and provide further timely and insightful data to the Operators to drive improved business performance.
  • Work alongside nonfinancial managers to ensure that costs are captured and allocated accurately along with understanding of key cost drivers, budget and flex mechanisms.
  • Reporting and monitoring of key performance indicators and nonfinancials to support service delivery and contractual commitments.
  • Preparation of accurate and timely financial reporting and interpretation of the operations on a weekly and periodic basis.
  • Supporting with onboarding of new customer commercials.
  • Support the Finance Manager with the delivery of the annual budgets and customer forecasts to timelines and standards.
  • Develop strong relationships with internal stakeholders.
  • Undertake nominal ledger tasks including processing journals, nominal ledger cross charges and period end reconciliations.
  • Balance sheet preparation including robust reconciliations to support balances.
  • Involvement in site projects from a finance perspective including budgetary control, tracking and reporting on project spend, forecasting and continuous improvement costings.
  • Attending, and leading, weekly & monthly customer reviews as required.
  • Payroll reconciliations.

  • Studying towards AAT/ CIMA/ ACCA.
  • Ability to build relationships at all levels.
  • Be proactive, inquisitive with a passion for challenging teams to drive performance.
  • A keen eye for detail and financial controls.
  • Be able to work under pressure whilst maintaining high standards.
  • Must be flexible and respond positively and accurately to internal and external customer requests.
  • Have excellent PC skills and be able to understand and harness IT and systems to benefit the operation.
  • Has a 'can do' attitude, demonstrating drive, energy and a commitment.
