Thorn Baker Industrial Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Tool Setter/Operative to work for a successful company that produce Electrical Components based in the Nottingham (NG7) area.

Pay & Benefits

  • Starting salary of £25,150 per annum
  • Working Monday – Friday on a rotational shift pattern (6:00am – 12:30pm & 12:30pm – 7pm) – 32.5 hours p/w

The role

  • You will be an experienced and hands on setter with a background in a manufacturing-based environment.
  • Setting up of machine cells ready for production
  • Setting up of mould tooling to quoted cycles and optimisation of the process
  • Quality checking of components to the varying different quality standards
  • In conjunction with the Setter/Chargehand carrying out basic bench and in-machine tool changeovers, setting optimum processing conditions and ensuring that the tooling database is kept up to date.

Experience

  • Have a minimum of 3 years experience as a tool setter
  • Have up to date knowledge of modern injection moulding machinery and tooling
  • Working experience in an injection moulding facility with knowledge of tool maintenance, tool setting and machine operation

The successful Tool Setter will have experience of working in a fast paced manufacturing environment and be able to prioritise their workload and work using their own initiative. You will have an excellent understanding of and a willingness to work in accordance with approved standards and safe operating procedures.
