With an exciting expansion phase underway at our new manufacturing facility near Hailsham, East Sussex, we are looking to add dynamic professionals to our team.

We are currently seeking a Senior Product Engineer to play a crucial role in ensuring the timely delivery of our products within budget and to the highest DFMA standards.

Senior Product Engineer - The Role:
  • Contribute to delivering projects on time and within budget
  • Provide support for the design and development team
  • Lead cost reduction projects and enhance product quality
Responsibilities Include:

Product Development

  • Manage project processes efficiently
  • Conduct feasibility studies on NPI's
  • Collaborate with suppliers for product advancements
  • Generate BOM's and planning sheets for new products

Cost Reduction

  • Identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Participate in projects to enhance profitability
  • Support sourcing and outsourcing initiatives

Technical Innovation and Competitive Position

  • Stay updated on UHV and manufacturing innovations
  • Analyze competitive products for benchmarking

Engineering Changes

  • Support engineering change systems
  • Address and rectify engineering issues

Custom Design

  • Provide engineering support for custom orders
  • Ensure timely production for custom orders
Essential Skills & Experience:
  • HNC/D in Mechanical and Production Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering Degree
  • Expertise in DFMA
  • Proficiency in reading technical drawings
  • Experience in root cause analysis
  • Production engineering experience
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office
  • Project costing & quotation skills
  • Passion for technology and people
  • Mentoring capabilities
  • Fluency in English

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • Over 10 years in a similar role
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics
  • Leadership skills
