Job Title: Senior Project Manager at Well-Established Engineering Organization

Ready to take on a crucial role in maintaining high-quality standards in a renowned engineering company? You'll be overseeing a cluster of interconnected projects, leading Project Managers to ensure they align with customer needs and meet business goals like sticking to schedules, managing budgets, making timely deliveries, minimizing risks, hitting sales targets, optimizing margins, and capturing new business opportunities.

Your task will involve handling all customer interactions, effectively communicating with Senior Management, team members, and colleagues to ensure everyone is on the same page regarding program performance and successful execution.

Collaborate closely with the Program Finance team to achieve key financial targets and provide clear, accurate financial reports.

  • Prioritize, coordinate, and schedule project portfolio activities to reach all agreed-upon business objectives and delivery milestones.
  • Act as the go-to person for addressing project issues, risks, and crucial decisions.
  • Take personal charge of large, high-profile, or intricate projects when necessary, guaranteeing their smooth management and completion.

Offer oversight and governance to ensure effective project planning, program execution, risk management, precise progress reporting, and compliance with project management procedures and gate reviews.

Assist the Supply Chain team in recognizing, managing, and cultivating key sub-contracts and suppliers.

Develop efficient succession plans and conduct regular reviews to ensure that the skills and knowledge needed for key roles are fulfilled through ongoing training, development, and mentoring in line with OSDP requirements.

Hold a bachelor's degree in Business/Engineering, complemented by practical Project Management expertise.



  • Familiarity with best practices in Project Management techniques.
  • Proven track record of guiding and supervising teams to accomplish project goals.
  • Experience in the business aspects of project management, such as contract management and bid support.
  • Ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders to guarantee project success.
  • Strong commercial and business acumen, customer-centric focus, and sales orientation.

Proficiency in PC and keyboard usage, knowledge of project management tools, and familiarity with IFS or a similar ERP system.

Having an APM Chartered Project Professional certification or equivalent qualification would be advantageous.

Experience in managing multi-discipline projects with an emphasis on systems engineering and integration is highly beneficial.
