Alternative Heat design, develop and deliver a wide range of offsite-prefabricated, innovative, and sustainable building service solutions throughout the UK & Europe.


We specialise in the design, supply, and installation of a wide range of prefabricated energy solutions, typically built in NI and shipped throughout the UK & Europe.

We also offer turnkey design, build, and operate solutions for commercial energy centres and large-scale district heating solutions and have experience with successfully procuring and delivering many similar packages to a wide range of public bodies throughout UK & Europe.

Hours | Monday-Thursday 7am-5pm and Friday 7am-4pm

Salary | Competitive depending on experience

Responsible to | Assembly Manager

Key Respobsibilities:

This role will be base in our Main yard in Banbridge.

They will review assembly drawings, position, and install the support bracketry.

Once these works are completed, they will carry out pressure testing on all pipework or equipment installed.

Other works involved are, bolt torquing, insulation block installs, threaded rod capping, additional bracketry install etc.

Essential Criteria:

  • 4 years' experience in the mechanical industry.
  • Being able to read and understand assembly and schematic drawings.
  • Basic set of mechanical tools.
  • In date CSR card
  • Reliable & punctual.
  • Work well in as a team.
  • Willing to help in other areas of the assembly yard.
  • Full UK Driving licence.

Located centrally between Dublin and Belfast our 8.5 acre Head Office and feabrication facilities, which are fully equipped with overhead cranes and 8,000m2 of workshop floor area, provide an ideal factory construction environment which is reflected in the high quality solutions we offer.


We employ a strong team of design engineers, CAD technicians, contracts managers and skilled trades personnel who utilise their vast industry experience to assist in the design, fabrication and delivery of our bespoke MEP solutions, which we supply throughout the UK and Ireland.
