We're Hiring a Dedicated SEN Teacher to Make a Difference at a Special School in Bridgend

  • Location: Bridgend
  • Job Type: Full-time and ad hoc cover available
  • Salary: £200 per day

We are looking for a passionate and qualified SEN Teacher to join a community day special school in Bridgend that caters to pupils aged 7-19 with complex behavioural and emotional difficulties (BESD), ASD, and/or learning needs. The ideal candidate will have experience working with challenging behavior and complex learning needs to positively impact children's lives through education.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop tailored learning activities for individual needs.
  • Mark work, prepare materials, and fulfill teaching duties.
  • Support the school's ethos and values while motivating pupils.
  • Engage students in learning by adapting teaching materials.
  • Collaborate with professionals to create effective learning plans.
  • Contribute to personal development through pastoral care.
  • Confidently teach across the curriculum.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status and experience in primary/secondary levels.
  • Experience in special school environments or similar.
  • Team teach/de-escalation certification is a plus.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and commit to safeguarding.
