We are seeking an exceptional engineering leader with a product-focused mindset to join Omnea as the VP of Engineering. In this role, you will spearhead the growth of our engineering organization, facilitating the expansion of our customer base, team size, and revenue significantly over the next few years. Your contribution will be instrumental as we transition from a startup to a scale-up company. What can you expect?

As the VP of Engineering at Omnea, you will play a pivotal role in a rapidly expanding early-stage European company. You will collaborate with seasoned professionals, including our Founder CEO, who possess a wealth of experience in building successful ventures and working with top-tier investors and teams.

  • You've managed a high performing team: Leading and mentoring teams effectively for over 4 years, demonstrating exceptional coaching skills and leadership qualities.
  • You've built exceptional teams: Prior experience in recruiting and onboarding top engineering talent, shaping organizational structures, and defining technical strategies during growth phases.
  • You've worked in high calibre environments: Previous roles as an engineering leader in tech startups or scale-ups, showcasing a track record of driving teams and products from inception to scalability.
  • You had a strong track record as a senior IC: Proven expertise in full-stack web application development, ideally utilizing Typescript and AWS, with a focus on robust, scalable systems.
  • You've thrived in high intensity environments before: Adaptable to high-pressure situations, accountable for results, and adept at inspiring confidence in your team and clients.
  • You're ambitious and committed: Dedicated to achieving a successful career, willing to lead by example, work diligently, and make sacrifices for long-term success.
  • You're a product-minded and business-minded engineering leader: Capable of aligning engineering outcomes with business objectives, understanding customer perspectives, and effectively communicating with non-technical stakeholders.
