Our services span from initial planning and investment, through start-up and operations.Bechtel is seeking a Senior Piping Engineer experienced with modularisation, modules to join the Plant Design & Piping (PD&P) discipline on a semiconductor project for a confidential client.
This position falls within the Manufacturing and Technology Global Business Unit.This role will be based in London, UK office.
Responsible for Plant Design and Piping module execution on a medium size project or a significant scope of a large complex project.
This work includes the preparation of layouts, study drawings, detailed 2-D and 3-D Computer Aided Design (CAD) design models and construction drawings.
Very proficient with Hexagon S3D software or Autodesk BIM360 Revit.Plans, develops, coordinates and reviews engineering work within the Plant Design and Piping discipline.
Produces, reviews and approves key Plant Design and Piping specifications, procedures, drawings and calculations.
Prepares or oversees the preparation of discipline estimates and work plan in accordance with project scope, schedule and budget, and manages implementation and performance accordingly.
Maintains contacts with client representatives, suppliers, appropriate field personnel and other disciplines to ensure the completion of the work and compliance with Bechtel/client requirements.
Review design documents of other disciplines, equipment manufacturers or subcontractors of a high degree of complexity and prepare comments and recommendations.
Broad knowledge of major industry or regulatory standards and design criteria used in Plant Design and Piping including ASME B31.Understanding of precedents and principles related to Plant Design and Piping.
Detailed understanding of the application of industry standard 2D and 3D design and automation tools, ideally this includes MicroStation and Hexagon Smart3D, and AutoCAD Revit, Navisworks.
Knowledge of Bechtel or other Engineering Contractor's work processes, procedures and administrative practices and has experience of applying these.
Thorough understanding of the range of Plant Design & Piping activities including Layout, Piping Materials and Stress.Understanding of the roles of other disciplines on the project and key information interfaces, including P&IDs, civil/structural design, equipment datasheets and process safety input.
Excellent listening, oral and written communication, planning, and organizational skills are essential.Previous modular piping project execution experience.
Previous experience/knowledge on semiconductor manufacturing design process (not a must).
