Role
As an Electrical Craftsperson (Overhead Lines) your role will be to construct, maintain and repair overhead lines

What you will bring
The Electrical Craftsperson will bring extensive experience in overhead line, jointing and live-line skills

You will have previous expereince in the use of electrical test equipment

An ability to communicate with customers and colleagues, as well as the supervision of contractors.

Following Safety/ Environmental procedures are an essential part of this role.

What you'll be doing
Carry out overhead work within construction, maintenance and fault repair activities

Carry out operational switching of network including fault finding and testing (up to 33kV)

Receives safety documents and Pre-vet jobs including risk assessment and liaison with landowners

Job planning including obtaining materials, vehicles and equipment

Standby duties

Low voltage, High voltage switching and Live line work including hands-on, short-stick and long-stick

Connection of generators

Undertake craft activities associated with other trades in accordance with training and skills

Overtime payments:

Monday - Saturday (8am till midnight) - Time and a Half
Monday - Saturday (midnight to 8am) - Double Time
Sunday - Double Time (all hours)
Overtime is not mandatory.
