About the Role:


Your primary role will be to work in our branch (30 hours per week), serving customers over the counter, answering the phones, keeping the shop floor clean, tidy and safe, and build brilliant relationships with our customers, most of whom you'll see regularly.

I knew nothing (and I mean, nothing) about building materials before starting here, but that really isn't an issue and as part of the apprenticeship programme all of this is covered.

We have some real industry legends in our business too, so you'll be in good hands

This role is 80% work base and 20% learning which is all completed within the working hours No cutting into your social time_**As part of this 12 month apprenticeship programme, you will gain a Level 2 Apprenticeship in Customer Service which is the equivalent of 5 GCSE passes.

All of your learning is "on the job", Travis Perkins values a work-life balance and there is no need for you to complete any of your work "out of hours".

The course consists of a number of modules and you will have a dedicated coach that will guide you throughout, as well as being supported by your line manager (and in my case a really supportive team who I consider to be my friends)
