About the role


It's an exciting time to join AXA, with significant investment planned in all UK&I businesses to transform, deliver new digital services to our customers and streamline and automate our business processes.

We're looking for a Solution Engineer to join us, working within our Digital Claims team on a variety of projects including our customer facing claims notification portal.


Reporting into the Solutions Lead, you'll provide hands on technical capability, contributing to secure software development, delivery and continuous improvement.


At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers.

You'll work at least 40% of your week away from home, either at one of our office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events.


What you'll be doing:
Contributing to the delivery of code

Adhering to best practice architecture, design, development, test and deployment principles

Seeking out and providing regular feedback on performance and delivery

Building close relationships with team members and if appropriate, customers to obtain feedback and understand priorities

Working with stakeholders to ensure the product is aligned to business goals

Contributing to the continuous improvement of the wider engineering community

Implementing technical solutions which meet stakeholder needs and deliver tangible benefits to the business

Demonstrating good understanding of modern security practices

About you

What we're looking for:
Previous experience as a software engineer

A strong understanding of clean code practices, SOLID principles and design patterns

Proficient in key technologies such as .NET Core and MVC

Knowledge of agile practices, principles and theories

Strong collaboration and influencing skills

Ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders


As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom.
