Hospitality Skills Trainer Position at Maximus

To succeed in this role, you will need to:

  • Identify and assess individual learner needs and skills requirements through a thorough initial assessment.
  • Plan lessons effectively and ensure activities are tailored to individual learner needs.
  • Deliver exceptional training, coaching, and assessment to help learners develop personal, social, employability, and IT skills for success in work and independence.
  • Maintain high standards of quality and compliance by completing all necessary paperwork and documentation.
  • Undertake regular reviews with learners to keep them engaged and monitor their progress.
  • Embed Math's, English, Digital, and Work Skills into delivery as required.
  • Manage caseload effectively to ensure timely submission of learner assessments.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Proven experience in delivering accredited Hospitality courses up to Level 2.
  • Teaching qualification PTLLs or above.
  • Competency in English and maths to at least Functional Skills level 2.
  • Understanding of Ofsted requirements for teaching, learning, and assessment.
  • Experience working within awarding body requirements.

Desirable qualifications include:

  • Level 4 Award in the Quality Assurance of Assessment Process and Practice or equivalent.
  • ENTO HSS8 Health & Safety Award or equivalent.

  • Proven track record of supporting learners into sustainable employment.
  • Ability to plan and organize workload effectively.
  • Reliable and committed to meeting retention and achievement targets.
  • Commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Strong digital literacy skills and knowledge of IT tools.
