Closing Date:Monday 16 January 2023- Patterdale Hall Residential Adventure Centre has a vacancy for a Hospitality Team Member apprentice to join the team.- This is a paid position in partnership with Skern Training and Skills who will oversee the apprenticeship and provide further training.

• The 1218 month apprenticeship will suit someone new to hospitality who wishes to develop the skills, knowledge and behaviours for a successful career. It can be a first step along a journey of training and development.
• You may have left school or college and be looking for your next challenge or be seeking a career change. We will need you to be age 18 or over with the maturity to take on a role working around young people and adults in our centre.
• This is a livein post at Patterdale Hall, with a basic rent deducted from your monthly pay. Living in saves the huge cost of travelling and protects staff from the current cost of living crisis.
  About Patterdale Hall?
• Patterdale Hall is a residential adventure learning centre set in the heart of the Lake District National park, near Penrith Cumbria. Our main customers are school groups undertaking outdoor activity programs, whilst staying at the Hall. They enjoy a good level of hospitality provided by our small residential team.
  What will the post involve?
• As with all full time apprenticeships 20% (1 day per week) will be spent in training to fulfil the requirements of the apprenticeship, but opportunities to learn will be throughout the role. As part of a team, you'll help out in the dining room, the kitchen, and the house, changing dormitories over between guests, making up packed lunches, cleaning and washing up. You may work some split shifts with time of to enjoy some day light hours, straight shifts during the day, or an evening shift till 10/11pm. Rotas are varied and planned in advance to take into account centre and individual needs.**What to do next?
