Dog Daycare Assistant

Would you like to gain an intermediate apprenticeship in Animal Care?


We are looking for a dog loving person to join our friendly team, we provide dogs with the chance to socialise and play all day in a safe, fun and stimulating environment.

We require a like-minded individual with a passion for canine care.


The post is a minimum of 30 hours a week and you will be asked to be available for work between the hours of 8:00am-5:30pm from Mondays to Fridays.

You must be able to work in a challenging, demanding and high paced environment. You need to be confident and calm around dogs and be able to think on your feet.

You must be a committed team player with bags of enthusiasm and be able to listen carefully and follow instructions.

You will have a happy, pleasant and positive disposition and have a positive can-do attitude. You must be reliable, hardworking, and trustworthy with a genuine desire to work with dogs in a professional manner.

Mandatory requirements:

  • Must be aged 16+ and have officially left school
  • Minimum of 4 GCSE's at grade D/3 and above including Maths and English or a vocational qualification at Level 1, plus GCSE grade D/3 in both Maths and English
  • Must
    not already hold a Level 2 or above qualification in Animal Care to be eligible for this apprenticeship
Expected duration: 15 months
