This is a fantastic opportunity to join our award-winning team.

At Abel & Cole; we take pride in delivering top quality organic produce direct to the customer's door


And as a member of our warehouse team, you will play a vital part in making sure that our deliveries leave the depot on time.


You will be working from our Ongar depot, which is located 6 miles away from Harlow, but because our depot is in a rural part of the countryside you may have trouble reaching it unless you have your own transport.


However, if you don't have your own transport, don't worry as we will try to arrange transport to collect you from Harlow and return you, after your shift (At no cost to you)


This is a hands-on role and you will be working within a small team to help sort and collate our customer's goods.

Warehouse Operative Responsibilities:
  • Work within a small team to assist in the unloading and loading of our delivery vehicles.
  • Collate and sort customers boxes with the help of our delivery manifests
  • Take responsibility and promote a good Health and safety culture in the warehouse.
  • Maintain a clean working environment.
  • Take pride in your appearance & performance.
  • General warehouse duties.


In addition to your regular warehouse duties, you will also be required to clean the communual areas such as the kitchen & comfort room facilities to the standards required.


  • Prepare and complete morning reports.
Within this role you will need to be enthusiastic and hard-working with an obsessive attention to detail.

In addition you will need a sense of pride and determination to help ensure that our customers always receives an outstanding service.


Experience and Skills:

  • Good level of English
  • Previous warehouse experience desirable but not essential
  • Counterbalance FLT licence desirable but not essential as we can provide training
  • Computer literate (Basic IT Knowledge)
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks with a high level of accuracy.
  • Positive attitude and able to work with others and individually.
  • Located within a reasonable commute to the depot (CM5 0DU)
  • Happy to work in a chilled environment. (8o degrees)
