Refresco Milton Keynes is currently on the lookout for a motivated Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Advisor to become a valuable asset to our vibrant team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the site's full compliance and maintaining a secure workspace, all the while instilling in our employees the importance of maintaining a robust health and safety culture. At our MK facility, we produce some of the most recognized energy drink brands in the UK and prioritize providing a safe environment for all.

Position: Health, Safety, and Environmental Advisor (HSE) in Milton Keynes at Refresco

What You'll Be Doing as an HSE Advisor at Refresco:

As a dedicated HSE Advisor, we are seeking someone passionate about ensuring people's safety and fostering engagement across our HSE program. In this role, you will be responsible for cultivating a high-performance safety culture and implementing risk reduction strategies throughout our manufacturing operations. Working closely with the site's Factory Manager, you will support the site leadership team in effectively managing the HSE Management System. Your role will involve ensuring consistent HSE practices across all activities at Refresco's site by collaborating with various departments to ensure compliance with regulations. You will also be involved in compiling compliance reports and engaging with regulatory bodies such as the Environmental Agency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining compliance with the Company's HSE Management System based on site and group standards
  • Collaborating with the site PLT and UK Head of Health, Safety, and Environment to ensure consistency in HSE initiatives
  • Providing technical support and guidance on HSE matters to Site Area Managers and other personnel
  • Promoting proactive HSE activities such as the RADAR scheme
  • Working with the plant HR Business Partner on Occupational Health issues

Offering Support and Guidance on:

  • Risk assessment programs
  • HSE audit and inspection programs
  • Developing Standard Operating Procedures
  • Conducting incident investigations and training staff on these procedures
  • Managing change effectively

Responsible for:

  • Ensuring HSE consultation and communication
  • Managing HSE performance
  • Establishing HSE objectives and audit schedules
  • Overseeing Emergency Preparedness and PPE requirements
  • Managing HSE non-conformances and closeouts
  • Implementing benchmark system management

Engaging with the site and Reporting on HSE Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) including:

  • Monitoring accident statistics
  • Submitting Environmental Permit Annual Returns
  • Tracking Environmental KPIs

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing and engineering environment with at least 2 years as an HSE Advisor. Other requirements include:

  • Updated knowledge of UK HSE legislation and its practical application
  • NEBOSH Certificate in Health and Safety as a minimum requirement
  • Proficiency in Microsoft packages
  • Demonstrated analytical and problems-solving skills
