JSP, Europe's leading manufacturer of Personal Protective Equipment are looking for two Purchasing Apprentices to join either our Head Protection Industrial BU based at our Head Office in Worsham Mill, Witney or our RPE & Hearing Industrial BU based in Carterton.

The Purchasing Apprentices will provide purchasing support to the Purchasing Executive within the Business Unit and also the Central Purchasing Team.

As this is an apprenticeship role, it will involve studying either on-line or at college.

Responsibilities

  • Update purchase order due dates in the system after chasing suppliers or receiving pro forma invoices, shipping documentation or order confirmations.
  • Request quotations from suppliers.
  • Maintain supplier contact details.
  • Maintain part prices saved in the system.
  • Expedite orders where requested.
  • Assist the Purchasing Executive with everyday tasks (including the raising of purchase orders, maintaining and filing of purchase orders, order confirmations, signing and returning proforma invoices, shipping documentation).
  • Liaise with suppliers, warehouse and freight forwarders to book in FCL and LCL shipments from overseas.
  • Assist Purchasing Executive with organisation and maintenance of shipping documents for customs and delivery purposes.
  • Any other reasonable tasks within the department.

Skills & Competencies

  • A selfmotivated, energetic and honest attitude.
  • Strong numerical, organisational and communication skills.
  • MS Office knowledge. In particular Outlook, Word and Excel.
