An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic Band 5 to join our team as a Community Nurse. The area you'd be covering is Taunton and surrounding villages, the base will be Parkgate in Taunton.
As a community nurse you will be responsible for looking after patients that are housebound, It will involve End of life care, wound and leg ulcer treatment and catheter care and much more.
The team covers seven days a week between the hours of 8am to 10pm.
Main duties of the job
Support and training will be given in this post. If you are a newly qualified Nurse, we will put you onto our supportive preceptorship programme.
Responsibilities for this post includes
Working as part of a team as well as autonomously within the community providing high quality and compassionate care Visiting patients in their own home. Variety of treatments and skills performed Holistic assessment of both complex and simple care needs Support the multi disciplinary team in the delivery of care to enable individuals to achieve their person centred goals.Informal discussions and visits are very welcome.
