Key responsibilities as CPM Specialist for QIS

  • Serving as the expert in sustainability across all investment verticals and client channels within QIS, driving product development, strategy, and account customization. Also, acting as the focal point within QIS to enhance connectivity and leverage other ESG resources, including the SIP and EO ESG teams.
  • Collaborating with PM teams to lead research on ESG factors and solutions within the QIS group and working with each vertical to seamlessly integrate them.
  • Globally collaborating with CPM teams and ESG CPM champions to promote a consistent and commercially viable message on sustainability while mitigating associated risks.
  • Contributing to the development of thought leadership publications.
  • Partnering with internal sustainability teams to advance the QIS ESG agenda, ensure consistency, and maximize commercial impact across AWM.
  • Establishing a governance structure for all ESG accounts within QIS, coordinating with PM, ESG regulatory, stewardship, etc., to minimize reputational risk and deliver top-tier solutions focusing on sustainability along with the risk and return aspects defined by individual PM teams.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE'RE SEEKING

  • Degree (Undergraduate/Masters/PhD) in a quantitative discipline preferred
  • ESG and portfolio construction background is advantageous
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficient programming skills (e.g., Python, Matlab, or other languages)
  • In-depth comprehension of portfolio construction, particularly experience in portfolio optimization concerning ESG-related portfolio level tilts
  • Keen interest in quantitative investments and sustainability
  • Capability to work independently with accountability
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment in sustainability-related risk management and develop a comprehensive understanding of the regulatory sustainability landscape
  • Potential to evolve into a client-facing role gradually, serving as a thought leadership partner for clients regarding the technical aspects of ESG integration in systematic portfolios
