Permanent - Full time - (Double days shift)

Salary:
£39,000 inc shift allowance

We are seeking a skilled Setter Operator with expertise in CNC machining processes to join our team. The ideal candidate will apply a logical approach to produce components to drawing tolerances within the quality specification.

Advise on the best production methods, tooling, holding devices, and provide minor editing of CNC programs in collaboration with Production Engineering.

Ensure all risk and COSHH assessments are up to date and that employees understand
Set up CNC machines according to provided setup sheets, make necessary amendments, and communicate changes to Production Engineering.
Prove and optimise manufacturing methods for production efficiency.
Select appropriate tooling and holding devices for manufacturing.
Implement best practice setups and liaise with operators for efficient production.
Coordinate with Production Engineers for specialised tooling requirements.
Manufacture components to correct drawing specifications and conduct first-off inspections.
Record set and run times, complete OEE data sheets, and maintain production targets.
Complete necessary quality documentation and uphold Lean principles.
Communicate any issues or manufacturing improvements identified.

Significant experience in setting and running CNC turning or mill/turn machines.
Apprenticeship trained in a relevant field.
Experience in running and setting sliding head CNC machines.
