Job purpose:


To assist with a variety of tasks which will assist the employer who needs care and support to live their personal and social life according to their wishes and interests.


About the employer:


Our client is a 56-year-old male living in the B98 area of Redditch who is looking to recruit a Personal Assistant to provide support with all aspects of daily living for 16 hours per week.


Main duties:

Social duties:

- keep in touch and socialise with family and friends.
- attend medical appointments if required.

Personal care:
support with all aspects of personal care.

Domestic duties:
support with cooking and serving nutritious meals and snacks, cleaning, changing linen, laundry.

Our client has 1 hour domestic call each week to help maintain the home environment and 1 hour shopping call each week.

These duties may vary from day-to-day.

Type of person that you/they are looking for:


  • Values someone that is honest, reliable, punctual, non-judgemental, ability to build good relationships based on trust and respect, flexible, adaptable, easy going, able to work alone, positive, willingness to travel, understands equality and diversity and has a good sense of humour.

Specific requirements: someone with previous care & support experience. Must like cats as client has a cat.

Hours of work: 16 hours per week - Monday to Sunday

  • AM 9am10am & PM 5pm6pm
1-hour domestic call per week

1-hour shopping call per week

Rate of pay:
£12.00 per hour. Skills, qualifications, and experience

Essential:

- driving licence
- car and appropriate insurance
- knowledge of a particular language or culture

- good at building relationships

- ability to support people with complex care needs.

Successful applicants will require DBS checks & Employment References.

This role is funded by the Local Authority and is paid 4 weekly.
