The Role


The CAD Operative/Draughtsperson is required to produce electrical schematics, electrical single line diagrams and general arrangement drawings, using AutoCAD Electrical (or another design package), from the engineers' designs.

Key objectives

Producing electrical schematics, electrical single line diagrams and general arrangement drawings, using AutoCAD Electrical.

  • Producing electrical schematics, electrical single line diagrams and general arrangement drawings, using AutoCAD Electrical.
  • Issuing of manufacturing drawings to production for build
  • Assisting with project documentation
  • Assisting with operation & maintenance manuals and certificates
Qualifications and training

  • GCSE's in English Language, Maths and Science (preferably physics).
Technical skills and experience

  • Familiar with LV Switchgear and control panel design, would be a benefit.
  • Excellent communications skills as must be able to communicate at all levels.
  • Calm professional manner.
  • Positive "can do" attitude. With good attention to detail.
  • Excellent organisational, planning and time management skills.
  • Microsoft Office skills/experience would be beneficial (Outlook, Word, XL and PowerPoint)
