Merlin Cinemas operate at 17 locations across the UK with over 50 screens, and 6 Restaurants.

The Regal in Redruth houses our only live entertainment venue, The Regal Theatre which stages around 50+ live shows each year and is a landmark in the local community and beyond.


We seek a highly-motivated individual with marketing experience and an interest in the arts and/or live Theatre on a part-time basis.


The position is based at our Redruth Office, and your role will be to cover all things marketing for The Regal Theatre.

The position may be well-suited to someone with an Arts/Performance background who is looking to move towards marketing. Or a Marketing professional moving into the arts/events sector.

You will be energetic, articulate and organised, with initiative and drive.

You will be creative in your approach, generating content across our social media and digital platforms as well as getting involved on the ground.


  • Coordinate with the Theatre Team including Front of House, Technical and Programming, as well as with the show promoters, and Company Marketing Manager.
  • Create and publish all marketing materials for the theatre, both online and offline.
  • Manage all social media activities for the theatre including the creation of content, posting content and building audience engagement.
  • Create and distribute press releases.
  • Daytoday upkeep of website content ensuring all is up to date and accurate.
  • Weekly sales reporting and managing budgets.
  • Maintain consistent brand messaging and assist in achieving growth in this area of the business.

Your Experience

  • Experience (personally or professionally) using social media platforms.
  • Excellent communication and proofreading skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience using Photoshop and InDesign and/or other similar platforms.

Advantageous, but not required

  • Experience with website management.
  • CIM or equivalent qualification.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, in particular Excel.
  • Interest in Theatre/arts.


The role can be flexible with working patterns, free cinema tickets every week and a discount at all Merlin Cinemas.
