Position Overview:

We are seeking a talented Electronic Design Engineer - Mixed Signal Electronics to join one of our successful clients a renowned global R&D/ high-tech organization currently expanding their international team of Engineers in the UK.

In this hands-on, cross-functional role, you will be overseeing the whole process: technical requirements gathering, design & and development, documentation, and testing of next-generation miniature optoelectronic systems; and electronic subsystems used in 4 main applications, life science including.

You will act as a trusted key member of the team who is fully involved in decision-making, and customer interactions, liaising with other engineering colleagues to create exciting products, existing and next generation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analog-to-Digital Signal Transformation:

Design and implement circuits to convert analogue signals into digital formats.

Optimize signal processing techniques to ensure high accuracy and reliability.

  • Digital and Analog Circuit Design:

Develop and enhance digital and analogue circuits for various applications.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate designs into overall product architecture.

  • Product Lifecycle Management:

Lead the product lifecycle process from concept to production, ensuring adherence to project timelines and quality standards.

Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments for new designs.

  • Testing and Validation:

Plan and execute comprehensive testing protocols to validate digital and analogue designs.

Troubleshoot and resolve any issues identified during the testing phases.

  • Collaboration and Communication:

Work closely with hardware and software teams to ensure seamless integration of digital and analogue components.

Communicate design concepts, progress, and challenges effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Documentation:

Create detailed design documentation, including schematics, PCB layouts, and component specifications.

Maintain accurate records of design iterations and modifications.

Qualification:

  • Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in digital and analogue circuit design and product development with a focus on signal processing
  • Strong proficiency in using design tools such as Altium, C language and others
  • Familiarity with industry standards and protocols related to digital and analogue signal processing.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced, but also collaborative international environment
  • Effective communication skills with all level stakeholders
  • Ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
  • Experience in product lifecycle management and successful product launches
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards in the digital and analogue design field
