Plant Engineer Role at Leading Plant Hire Company

This Plant Engineer role offers a competitive salary of up to £44,000 with OTE up to £55,000 per annum, including overtime. If you have a background as a Plant Inspector and knowledge of LOLER, PUWER, or LEEA, this role might be the right fit for you.

This is not your typical engineering position - it's an exciting opportunity within a national hire company, easily accessible from Taunton/Bridgwater.

  • Training will be provided to cover all fleet equipment, including lifting and plant machinery.
Responsibilities:

As the Plant Engineer, you will work on various plant equipment such as diggers, dumpers, compressors, and telehandlers, ensuring they are properly serviced, diagnosed, and repaired. Your tasks will include maintaining a high level of Health and Safety for both colleagues and customers, while adhering to company and HSE regulations.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a plant fitter, technician, or mechanic
  • Familiarity with working on MEWPs, forklifts, and excavators
  • Good communication skills
  • Knowledge of diesel engines and relevant certifications
  • NVQ Level 2/3 in Plant Maintenance or equivalent
  • Full UK Driving Licence
