Job Description

This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic, fast-growing organization in a hugely successful fund administration company. The successful applicant will work as part of the Banking, Fund Financing and Treasury Product Management team, focusing on our Treasury Solutions line of business that has been established to drive deposits, payments and FX growth areas and deliver additional revenue streams for MUFG IS. This position will report to and support the Product Lead for Treasury Solutions and work closely with the Treasury Solutions line of business on high profile initiatives such as the establishing a digital Global Payments service, that will enable MUFG IS to win accretive Payment business from existing and new institutional client relationships. The business will generate revenue from transaction volumes, FX conversions and deposits. This individual will be responsible in supporting the Product Lead and all items on the Treasury Solutions roadmap and specifically focus on the support and delivery of the following initiatives for the Global Payments Product that will include the following:

  • Cross currency payments service offering ability to make payments in 100+ currencies funded in 10 currencies, from MUFG IS accounts or existing 3rd party bank accounts.
  • Secure and simple API, File and Web channel for initiating payments
  • Automation of screening and transaction monitoring
  • Access to high value and low value rails to deliver fast, transparent, and cost-effective payments connected to Alternative Payment Service Providers and Correspondent Banks
  • Competitive FX rates and spreads with market leading liquidity sourcing
  • Intelligent repairs and validation to catch errors early and avoid delays in payments.
  • Payment's routing to balance cost, speed of delivery and irrevocability of payments
  • Fraud protection rules engine
  • Real time information and payment tracking, with automated reconciliations and acknowledgements back to ERP and TMS systems
  • Streamlined account opening process and onboarding.

There will also be other strategic initiatives brought forth by the business and/or Product Development where we will need to further provide support and assistance as prioritized.

You will focus on collaborating with various stakeholders across the business to define requirements, manage the JIRA / Confluence paper trail for proper project management. This will require you to serve as a subject matter expert and partner closely with the engineering, operations, and control side teams, to ensure projects are delivered according to stakeholder expectations.

The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate experience in a business analyst role and perform the following responsibilities:

  • Proactively support tactical and strategic Treasury Solutions initiatives, across a variety of operational and product disciplines
  • Responsible for analyzing the business needs of an organization and identifying solutions.
  • Collaborate across stakeholder groups to generate and document business requirements for development and business implementation; ensuring they are well understood for the Treasury Solutions product.
  • Produces, edits, and maintains requirements and user stories.
  • Involvement in testing and evaluating the effectiveness of their products.
  • Takes the lead on defining details of the requirements and working through all the elements with the relevant stakeholders.
  • Drive creation and maintenance of requirements across functional testing teams to ensure completeness of scope, identification of defects, follow through to resolution, and appropriate support as the Treasury Solutions product subject matter expert.
  • Ensure proper management of project deadlines.
  • Escalation and expectation management of delays to deliverables and milestones, with prompt communication of emerging risks and challenges
  • Creation and maintenance of user training manuals and supporting product documentation.
  • Provide day to day end user Treasury Solutions product support.
  • Perform other product related duties as assigned by the Product Lead for Treasury Solutions
Qualifications
  • BS/BA in business, economics, finance, accounting
  • 2-5+ years' experience in Business Analysis
  • Performed a similar Business Analyst Product role in a similar industry.
  • Working knowledge or direct experience in Fund Administration, Transaction Banking, or back-office settlements is strong plus
  • Ability to effectively communicate.
  • Ability to work with a high level of precision in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experienced in defining and documenting detailed business requirements.
  • The ability to work well independently, as well as within a team framework.
  • Understanding of SWIFT and payment fundamentals, Transaction Banking, as well as cross currency, FX, and liquidity
  • Working proficiency in Confluence / JIRA
  • MS Office skills, with emphasis on proficiency in MS Visio
  • Motivated and enthusiastic
  • Planning and implementation skills – organized.
  • Business aware and goal-oriented
  • Analytical, problem solving and follow through skills
