Gloucester, Gloucestershire, United Kingdom Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust Full time

With its close proximity to the Cotswolds and the Forest of Dean, its excellent cultural and recreational facilities, superb housing and schools, you will find Gloucestershire a highly desirable place to live and work.

At Gloucestershire Hospitals we put people at the heart of what we do, working together as one team to make a difference for our patients, each other, and our community.

No matter what your role is, we value everyone's contribution in supporting the best care for everyone.

We are one of the largest hospital Trusts in the South-West, committed to creating a compassionate and inclusive environment ,and this can be seen in our growing community of staff networks and engagement projects.

NHS England working across the South West (NHSE) and the Postgraduate Medical Education Department are delighted to announce a 12-month training secondment opportunity to work as part of the GHNHSFT SuppoRTT Faculty.

Post-Graduate Doctors in Training, sometimes take time out from training for different reasons and for varying lengths of time. This can be a difficult and stressful time for the individual.

Our in-house SuppoRTT team, part of the regional SuppoRTT NHSE network, supports and helps them to successfully return to work following a break of 3-months or longer.

This flexible programme has been designed to include enhanced supervision, clinical simulation days, mentorship and coaching, resilience training, practical advice and sign posting.

It is anticipated that the post-holder will spend one (0.2 WTE) or two days (0.4 WTE) on SuppoRTT Faculty Strategy and development at GHNHSFT, lead on an individual SuppoRTT project and gain a PG Cert in Healthcare Leadership and Management or Education (0.4 WTE).

Secondment time will be spent at GHNHSFT PGME offices, with flexibility in the work schedule permitted with supervisor's agreement.
