Monday to Thursday 08:00am to 16:45pm, Fridays 08:00am to 15:00pm

SUMMARY OF ROLE

The main aim of this role is to fabricate and maintain pipework and manifolds onsite, predominantly plastics (so extensive plastics experience is a must), through the safe use of hand tools, machinery and other equipment.

Supporting other engineering disciplines as and when required.

AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY

Responsibilities:

• Fabricate pipework from engineering drawings to industry specification.
• Planned preventative maintenance of existing pipework systems.
• Lay out, assemble, fabricate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair piping systems carrying water, chemicals and other process piping systems.
• Safely use hand tools, machinery and other equipment.
• Assist other engineering disciplines as and when required.
• Carry out other tasks as requested.

General

• Attend any upskilling training required or recommended.
• Strictly adhering to all health and safety policies and procedures, including the use of the appropriate protective clothing.

• Working on Maintain x Software

SPECIALISED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND CAPABILITIES

Professional experience

• Time served OR fully qualified CSWIP or equivalent, with experience working with multiple plastics including Polypropylene, Polyethylene, PVCU and PVDF. (mandatory)
• Experience in plastic fusion methods such as IR fusion. (Desirable)
• Possession of IPAF, Manual Handling, Abrasive Wheels, Legionella and Asbestos awareness certificates. (Desirable)
• Confident working alone and part of a team (mandatory)
• Problem solving skills (mandatory)
• Experience of Maintain x Software (Desirable)
