Applications are welcome for the above Permanent, part time (30 hours per week) post based in Howden, Bonnyrigg and Muselburgh dental clinics.

Are you a self motivated individual with excellent communication skills? Are you passionate about children's dental health? Are you a specialist clinician with expertise in managing the dental health of children with additional needs and high levels of dental disease?


We provide routine dental care to children with a wide range of disability and impairment, who cannot receive their care in the General Dental Service.

We also provide care for children with high levels of dental disease and dental anxiety who are referred by General Dental Practitioners and other health and social care workers.

Care is often provided under general anaesthesia or sedation. We are part of the Lothian Oral Health Service.


You will work alongside experience colleagues in the Public Dental Service and will be part of the Senior Paediatric Team, working closely with hospital colleagues and supporting the wider teams involved in the dental care of children.


Applicants must have current full registration with the General Dental Council, passed their MPaedDent exam (or equivalent) and be on the General Dental Council Specialist List for Paediatric Dentistry at the time of commencement of the post.
