Job Title: Administrative and Secretarial Support Role at East Cheshire NHS Trust

The position is available to individuals working at the Trust in the 'ECT Family', which includes current employees, bank staff, ISS staff, and volunteers. The role involves providing comprehensive administrative and secretarial support to the integrated safeguarding team consisting of professionals in adult, children, and maternity safeguarding. The post holder will handle sensitive information and reports within the safeguarding field.

The ideal candidate must have strong IT skills for database maintenance, meeting minutes transcription, and use of patient information systems. Excellent communication skills are essential for addressing complex safeguarding matters, providing meeting minutes, and meeting deadlines independently.

Hours per week:

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to the safeguarding team, ensuring accurate production of letters, emails, and reports within deadlines.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence efficiently.
  • Maintain appointment diaries and message books.
  • Organize meetings, workshops, and training events.
  • Produce and distribute training materials.
  • Assist in the ordering of stationery supplies.
  • Participate in the induction of new staff.
  • Recognize and report urgent situations to the relevant authorities.
  • Update Safeguarding websites.
  • Contribute to resource management.
  • Support the improvement of the Administrative Support Service.
  • Undertake delegated duties as required.
